Newton Farm Campsite

Freshwater West Beach

Freshwater West, surfing, rock climbing, cycling, hiking, sandy beaches, heritage, Harry Potter...

Near Freshwater West and several other beaches, Newton Farm Campsite is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The popular surfing beach of Freshwater West has been a location for several films including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ridley Scott's Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe and Their Finest starring Gemma Arterton. Freshwater West was the location of the Shell Cottage in the Deathly Hallows and the site of Dobby the House Elf's grave. Much loved by many visitors, Dobby's grave can be visited on Freshwater West beach.

We are a third generation, family-run campsite with decades of campsite experience. We are independent and you do not need membership to camp with us. We have toilet and shower facilities and there are electric hook ups available on site. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. Newton Farm Campsite has good sea views towards Freshwater West and good views of the surrounding National Park countryside.

Newton Farm Campsite is next to and overlooking the National Trust’s Gupton Farm Estate with its wildlife, bird watching areas and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. There are also several Dark Sky Discovery Sites nearby and on a clear night the constellations and the Milky Way are visible from Newton Farm Campsite. The beautiful beaches of Broad Haven and Barafundle Bay, the much photographed Bosherston Lily Ponds and the world class rock climbing areas of Stackpole are only a short distance away. The nearby Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which is also the Wales Coast Path, has spectacular coastal views and it takes you around the Angle Peninsula.

Near Newton Farm Campsite is the picturesque conservation area of the village of Angle, with its family-friendly beach at West Angle Bay and there are also the Napoleonic Forts of Thorne Island, Fort Popton and Chapel Bay with its museum and visitor centre. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and the Iron Man Wales Cycle Route, amongst others, passes by Newton Farm Campsite. Newton Farm Campsite is convenient for the Irish ferry to Rosslare and near to well-known attractions such as Pembroke Castle (the Birthplace of Henry VII), Oakwood theme park, Heatherton, Folly Farm, Blue Lagoon, Pembrokeshire Wake Park (Wild Lakes Wales) and the popular holiday resort of Tenby.
